Insurance company profits more important than children’s lives

Only in George Bush’s GOP America, my friends, is it deemed more important to protect the already obscene profits of health insurance companies than it is to make sure every child has basic health insurance.

Via AMERICAblog, John Aravosis reports:

Bush cuts tens of thousands of children out of health insurance program
If you agree that children should be cut off from health insurance, then please do vote Republican. Bush was opposed to this program from the start. He tried to kill its reauthorization. And now he’s trying to dismantle it for tens of thousands of kids. Welcome to the Republican party.

Bush’s White House has threatened to veto any Congressionally passed law expanding the health insurance program for children in low-income families, and to make it worse has issued new regulations preventing states from doing the same.

For no other reason than to protect health insurance industry profits.  That’s it — they even admit it’s the reason.

If you all think this is how America should be, keep voting Republican.  If instead you think everybody should have at least basic health coverage, period, vote not just Democrat but for PROGRESSIVE Democrats.
