Howdy Sis ! Write if you want and when you can. Love the photo and being an old Wyoming cowboy living in Nevada I also loved the horse. Ya know, they make these things for cameras called flashes. ;]

A pleasure, PappyVet/Colin. Glad to meet you.

As for the photo, I always kind of liked the underexposed effect. Feels natural, y’know.

  4. Hi Sis,
Loved your last post, left a link I thought you might like to look at. Tell Steph I said hi.
My Husband and I are both Wiccans,I hope that does not offend. We’ve been worshipping the Mother for over 40 years now . If we aren’t catching hell for being gay,we are catching it for being Wiccan. It figures. Charlie[my hubby] has stomach cancer and I just got out of the Vets myself,so keep us in your thoughts if you would.
Don’t let numbskulls like Pegasus get you down. There are always people who feel they have to squeeze everything. They REFUSE to get it. Well, I’ll no doubt spout off more stuff over at AmericaBlog tomorrow after my running around, have a blessed evening.

    Hi Colin,

Again — sorry, I didn’t mean to ignore you here. I’ve just been so busy over on AmericaBlog I didn’t even notice these comments until you directed my attention to them.

No offense: We consider ourselves Wiccan, too, although I would suppose in a hybrid/eclectic sort of way.

Thanks for the compliments on my redwood desk. I’m still really proud of how it turned out. The only downside is now my wife makes ME finish all her woodworking and furniture making projects.

Cool links! Definitely going to add DRB to my “where do I go to find interesting stuff for open thread posts” list.

You my dear Sister have the warm aroma of heated earth that surrounds you and the breath of our Mother gently blows and embraces both of you with a longing for Spirit.
The Ages have been at work on you and it is a blessing to have met you .

  14. colin pappy hurt says:

Thank you so much ! And if I may, could you please remember my Charlie when you are within the Spirit. He is so very ill and I feel he may be crossing the bridge soon.
I know it is selfish to fear the time when he must continue his journey without me but I want the pain of this life to end for him and would give all that I have.

Hi Sis, I may have had my yahoo account hacked, been on the phone with yahoo for 2 days, you know my voice by now. Had to reset everything. Pain in the butt. Don’t know who this mailer damon fellow is,frightened the hell out of me.

  16. colin pappy hurt says:

    Hi Sis,
I posted a youtube link to the 5th dimension on your Archery post and now I feel like a schmuck for doing it without asking you first. I am sorry and I will not be so rude in the future.

  17. colin pappy hurt says:

I wanted to let you know that my dear loving Husband Charlie has passed away. I appreciate all the warmth and support. We spent our youth together, grew old and created so many memories together and now he is gone. Thank you again for letting me tell you of us and share a bit. Colin

  18. Colin says:

Write me if you can Sis , this wonderful news deserves some flowers or perhaps a bottle of Scotch. I wish that Charlie could have been here but he is smiling at his place in the Mother’s ancient forest and this is a time for good cheer !
    Blessed Be ! Colin

  19. Becca says:

Will do, Colin. Right now this evening, I’m decompressing after a difficult week of work. Fortunately, I’m off until Jan 2nd.

*big hugs* and know my thoughts and meditations are with you, dear.

WE have familiar experience of the order, the constancy, the perpetual renovation of the material world which surrounds us. Frail and transitory as is every part of it, restless and migratory as are its elements, never-ceasing as are its changes, still it abides. It is bound together by a law of permanence, it is set up in unity; and, though it is ever dying, it is ever coming to life again. Dissolution does but give birth to fresh modes of organization, and one death is the parent of a thousand lives.
The sun sinks to rise again; the day is swallowed up in the gloom of the night, to be born out of it, as fresh as if it had never been quenched. Spring passes into summer, and through summer and autumn into winter, only the more surely, by its own ultimate return, to triumph over that grave, towards which it resolutely hastened from its first hour. We mourn over the blossoms of May, because they are to wither; but we know, withal, that May is one day to have its revenge upon November, by the revolution of that solemn circle which never stops-which teaches us in our height of hope, ever to be sober, and in our depth of desolation, never to despair.
