Looking for Albuquerque NM ‘Sai Community’ info?

Thought it might be a good idea to post this here, since a fair number of folks wander in who are students of Sri Kaleshwar Swami or who want to be or who are just curious.

Since returning to the U.S. at the end of March, my spouse and I have helped co-found a new Sai community organization in the greater Albuquerque NM area (including most of New Mexico) — called “Faith and Patience.”  (URL: http://www.faithandpatience.com)

In the last month, a new information ‘bulletin board’ site went online, and is the place to go if you want to know about upcoming events, classes, and weekly spiritual discussion get-togethers.

    Hello Magda,

No, it is not anything Swami ever said to me. The line was first done as part of a stand-up comedian’s act, a guy by the name of Bob Nelson. In his routine, he portrayed a number of characters, one of which was a dim-witted football player who could not remember his full line which, derived from public service commercials of a few decades ago went, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

The abbreviated version, “A mind…is a terrible thing” (full stop) stuck with me and has always seemed both funny and appropriate. So the name of my blog.

For what it’s worth though, Stephanie and I are probably going to retire the Faith-and-Patience website as it’s not really serving its intended purpose at this point.
