Photos From Nearby
This gallery contains a number of photos I found interesting or
intriguing for one reason or another—but all are
from either my home or one of the parks or places near to it.
(Note, I added a couple of new ones, from October 2005, more sunset
pictures.)
For instance, I have several pictures from
Big
Basin State Park, about a twenty minute drive from Boulder Creek, and one from
Henry Cowell State Park. There would be more, but it's actually
rather difficult to take good pictures from inside a redwood forest,
trust me on this. I may post more later on as time and luck
permit.
Some of these pictures were taken with the Fuji
Finepix, and some with the Canon D10.
Click on the thumbnails to see the photos; all are 300-400kb in size
for the download.

Boulder Creek, California - Yes, this is a real sunset, with almost no digital manipulation at all, save a little cropping. Simply gorgeous. |

Big Basin Park - Berry Creek Falls, one of two; the falls are an 11 mile round trip from the park entrance, so you really have to want to see them |

Home - I literally have no idea what these bugs are, save that they're obviously mating, and I found them one day along one of our retaining walls |
